The Harlequin Tuskfish (Choerodon fasciatus), is a beautiful fish with blue edged orange bands running across its blue silver body. The pelvic, anal and caudal fins are orange red.
The teeth stick out on this fish and are ideal for moving rocks around to get to the invertebrates that hide underneath them. They are also excellent at ripping molluscs off rocks.
This fish should number one per tank and is a community fish. However it is important not to include invertebrates into the same tank as this fish. The Harlequin tuskfish will eat all meaty foods and will swim in the middle and lower levels of the tank. This fish is usually available and is wild caught with little information known on captive breeding.
