The Endlers Livebearer (poecilia sp) is a very colourful fish and similar to the fancy guppy often found in fish shops.
This fish is not yet on the endangered species list however their habitats are being destroyed by humans as we enter their habitat and pollute it. They originate from Venezuela and are found in ponds and ditches. They can grow to 2.5cm and the males are multi-coloured whilst the females are just grey.
The Endlers Livebearer is a livebearer as the name suggests and will readily breed in the home aquarium. They will eat frozen, flake and live food. This fish is easy to keep ad will do well in a planted aquarium.
They can be housed in smaller aquariums and prefer a water temperature of 24 degrees centigrade. They can live in slightly acid water to slightly alkaline to soft and hard.
