The Emperor Angelfish is very popular amongst fish keepers.
The body has beautiful yellow and blue stripes and is only found on the adult fish. As a juvenile the Emperor Angelfish has a dark blue body with white markings. The juvenile is a very timid fish but will become bolder with age. They are found around coral reefs ranging from the red sea to Hawaii and Japan.
The Emperor Angelfish is a community fish and it is best to keep just one per tank. It will swim at all levels and will appreciate vegetable matter. The Emperor Angelfish is widely available and there is little information on the captive breeding of this fish.
The juvenile Emperor fish has a dark blue form with white markings. Like many angelfish the juvenile form does not resemble the adult coloration in any way.
