Blue Ring Angelfish
The Blue Ring Angelfish (Pomacanthus Annularis) as an adult will have blue lies that run from either side of the eye diagonally across the brown body. The lines rejoin at the top of the rear portion of the body. A dominant blue ring lies behind the gill cover.
The juveniles are blue with a distinctive pattern of almost straight transverse white lines. With Angelfish the juveniles are often mistaken as being different fish because of the huge coloration difference compared to an adult.
The adults can be quite destructive in a reef system. The fish are grazers and will fed on vegetable matter and meaty foods. This fish will require a large aquarium.
