The Black Tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi), is sometimes called the Black skirt Tetra and Black widow tetra.
The Black Tetra will grow to 6cm in length and is a shoaling fish which is widely available in aquatic stores.. The Black Tetra will benefit from being kept in a group of 6 or more.
The Black Tetra prefers soft acidic water and a temperature of roughly 24 degrees C. The black Tetra will eat all foods and are relatively easy to keep. It is suited to a community aquarium and prefers a neutral PH.
